Common uses

Show it on the frame
where it happens.

Annotated snapshots are made for education and documentation: your client sees the moment you are talking about, marked up.

  • Knee valgus or varus angles during gait.
  • Lifting posture, to show what is going wrong.
  • Squat form or athletic motion, such as a golf swing.
  • Key positions in a movement screen or a PostureScreen® exam. Movement screen videos can be annotated the same way, and a Generic Video can be changed to a movement screen type such as a Lateral or AP squat.
  • A top-down axial view, as a qualitative assessment added to the PostureScreen® PDF.

The annotation tools

Angle
Measure the angle between three points.
Line
Straight lines; Lock snaps them to 0°, 45° or 90°.
Arrow
Point to an area of interest; resize and move it.
Circle
Emphasize or isolate a region; resizable.
Freeform
Draw freehand with a finger or stylus.
Color and size
Pick the color and brush size; Undo removes the last mark.

Snapshots only: annotated videos are not exported. Snapshots can be emailed or included in PostureScreen® PDFs. Generic Video comparison was added in PostureScreen® 15.0 (February 2025).

A tool in PostureScreen® that records short video clips, takes snapshot frames and annotates them with lines, angles, arrows and more. The annotated snapshots are for education and documentation, and can be added to posture or movement reports.
