How Can We Help?

Structure Sensor iOS17 Issue

Dear Valued PostureScreen user,

We want to bring an important matter to your attention regarding the upcoming iOS 17 update scheduled for release next week. It has come to our notice that a 3rd party device crucial for the functionality of the LeanScreen 3D module in PostureScreen may no longer be compatible with this forthcoming iOS update. We want to clarify that this issue is unrelated to our software; rather, it pertains to the software that enables our integration with the 3D camera used in the 3D module of LeanScreen body composition analysis.

It is important to stress that this compatibility concern does NOT affect the native photographic body composition analysis feature that the majority of our users rely on. The issue exclusively pertains to the “3D” scanning for body composition analysis using the 3D Structure Sensor Scanner device. This situation will not impact PostureScreen, Movement, 2D LeanScreen, or ROM modules in any way.

If you are one of the users who employ the 3rd party Structure 3D scanner, which you attach to your iPad for performing 3D LeanScreen exams, AND you happen to have a newer device with a USB-C connection, this compatibility issue may affect you. Consequently, we strongly advise against updating your device to the new iOS 17 operating system until the manufacturer of the 3D Structure Sensor Scanner device releases an update to address this compatibility concern.

It’s important to emphasize that the vast majority of our user base (approximately 99%) will remain unaffected by this issue.    If do not use this hardware attachment for your iPad, you have nothing to worry about and you can update your device like normal as PostureScreen is already updated and ready to support iOS17.

Please find below an email from the manufacturer of the 3D Structure Sensor Scanner device for your review:
