How to Deactivate and Reactivate Your PostureRay License

If PostureCo Support asks you to deactivate and reactivate your PostureRay license to enable new features, or if you are troubleshooting an issue such as Error Code 12122, follow the steps below carefully.

Important:
This process must be completed exactly as outlined. If a mistake is made during deactivation or reactivation, you may need to schedule a technical support session for assistance.

Before You Begin

You must perform these steps on the workstation where PostureRay is installed.

Deactivation and Reactivation Steps

1. Locate the PostureRay folder

On the computer that has PostureRay installed, open File Explorer and go to the PostureRay installation folder. This is usually located in one of the following places:

  • C:\Program Files\PostureCo\PostureRay
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\PostureCo\PostureRay

If your system uses a separate data drive, check that drive as well.

2. Run ClientApp.exe as Administrator

Inside the PostureRay folder, locate ClientApp.exe.

Right-click ClientApp.exe and select Run as administrator, even if you are already logged in as an administrator.

3. Remove the current activation

When the menu window opens, click Remove and complete the prompts until the process finishes and the menu closes.

4. Reopen ClientApp.exe

Repeat Step 2 and open ClientApp.exe again by selecting Run as administrator.

5. Start the activation process

This time, select Activate.

Leave this screen open or minimize it while you retrieve your license key.

6. Copy and paste the license key

In the PostureRay folder, locate the file named license.txt.

Open license.txt, then copy the entire license key, including the brackets if they are shown. Paste the full key into the Activate field, then click Activate.

7. If your system is networked, browse to the shared data folder

If you are using a standalone PostureRay system, you can skip this step.

If your system is networked, you may see a prompt after activation confirming that the license has been activated. Click OK.

The system may pause briefly and then display a window asking you to browse to the server data path.

If that window appears:

  1. Open My Computer or This PC
  2. Locate the mapped PostureCo drive
  3. Open PostureRayNet
  4. Open the Data folder
  5. Click OK

Verify PostureRay Is Working

After completing activation, launch PostureRay and confirm that the main menu opens normally.

Then:

  • Log in as usual
  • Open an evaluation
  • Verify that images display properly
